With a background in construction, Steve has been inspecting homes since 1996, back when the industry was in its beginning stages. Over the years he has earned his certification as an ASHI inspector.
Steve started Home Standards in 2008 and the company has steadily grown to become among the highly regarded and trusted in the Midwest.
Steve was born in Prairie Center, Nebraska and has lived in Omaha for the past 40 years. In college he started juggling in the Old Market for tips and eventually joined a traveling circus for a year as a juggler, storyteller, and acrobat.
In his spare time Steve runs and competes in triathlons, which keeps him in good shape for the physical demands that home inspections can require.

Jon is a native of Omaha and earned his BA in business from University of Nebraska Omaha. He has been inspecting homes with Home Standards since the company started in 2008.
After inspecting a home, Jon’s clients are always grateful once they better understand the house they are buying. He finds helping others by sharing his knowledge and expertise rewarding and considers home inspectors being a “detective and solving ‘house mysteries’.”
“I especially like working with first time home buyers,” Jon said. “I appreciate the relationships I’ve made with people in the real estate industry.”
When not working, Jon enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife, going to playgrounds, riding bikes, and whatever other adventures they can find.

Tim was born and raised in Omaha, and spent the majority of his work life in construction. He started in college working as a plumber assistant, a concrete worker and then onto siding houses & building decks as he earned his BSBA from UNO After a few years as an accountant, he transitioned to a new career as project manager/office manager for a new construction Home Builder for over 10 years. With that strong construction background, he then joined Home Standards.
Tim has been inspecting homes with Home Standards for the past 13 years. He enjoys the variety of different types of properties he inspects and says one of his favorite things about working in this industry is helping buyers find their first home. He enjoys the fact that every house is different, and you can always learn something new every day.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys playing golf, softball, and spending time with his dog.
PAUL PACHUNKA

Paul is a native of Washington state, but grew up and lived in Nebraska most his life. The majority of his professional career he has been involved in home construction and renovation, including major remodeling, flipping properties, and specializing in redoing beautiful bathrooms and kitchens.
Paul has been with Home Standards since 2015 and likes sharing his home inspection findings with home buyers.
In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, cooking with his wife, and target shooting.
SUE JOSOFF
Inspection Coordinator & Office Support
Sue was born and raised in Omaha, attended Burke High School and then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her first job was at a bank where she developed a passion for customer service. She went on to work for the William H Harvey company and later for the Game and Parks at the Aksarben aquarium working with the hunter ed dept and with the children’s groups that visited.
Sue joined the Home Standards’ team and became the voice home buyers, sellers, and real estate agents have come to know. One of the things she really enjoys working here is helping people. Sue said, “I believe in our company 100% and hope to keep growing with them as a company and a family.”
Sue is married and the mother of 3 children and a grandmother to 4 (and growing). She loves spending time with her family and lives on an acreage with 4 horses, 2 donkeys, 18 chickens, 1 goat, 5 cats (outside mostly), and 2 dogs. “This keeps us pretty busy most of the time.”
JESSIE FISHER

Jessie was born in Sindey, Nebraksa and grew up on a farm near Davenport. He has been inspecting homes for over 5 years and enjoys the work because of the variety.
“[When inspecting homes] there are often mysteries to solve,” said Jessie. “I enjoy meeting a variety of people, and being able to share my knowledge with them. I appreciate the challenge of explaining often complex and nuanced information to people in a way that is concise and easy to understand.”
In his free time, Jessie creates art, including printmaking and painting. He enjoys hiking as well as volunteering with local groups focusing on food security and food production.
AARON NILIUS
Certified Inspector (Residential & Commercial Properties)
Aaron has been inspecting homes and commercial properties for the past 5 years. He was born and raised in Omaha and in his free time he enjoys playing basketball and soccer and watching football.
When Aaron was in college, he was unfortunate enough to be near a friend who was using a hammer to smash a shotgun primer, sending a piece of metal flying up and becoming lodged in his elbow. He has since had the shard removed and fully recovered.

Among other trades Gilbert has worked doing drywall and commercial framing, He also has experience working for a roofing company for 2 years and he replaced and serviced garage doors for 3 years.
During his down time he enjoys working out and watching sports all year round. He also likes going to the range and spending time with my daughter.

Chris brings over 15 years of expertise in construction management, with a keen understanding of coordinating job schedules and managing crews effectively.

Bridget was born in Albion, Nebraska and raised in Omaha and Stratton. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UNO and recently obtained her real estate license.
Bridget has been with Home Standards for a little over 6 years and loves this industry because it gives people peace of mind. “Buying a home is a very stressful process and we can provide them the knowledge they need to gain confidence in their decision,” she said.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, trying out new restaurants, watching “bad TV” with her friends, and spending time with her two daughters and husband.
