During a recent inspection of a 5,000 sq ft home in the metro Omaha, inspector Aaron found guano droppings on a curved balcony. When investigating further he found a bat roost. We recommended a pest contractor be brought in to resolve the situation.
Bats require different roosting conditions throughout the year and they often relocate to find a space that meets their needs. Some types of bats choose hollow trees, others prefer caves and some use both at different times. In our area, bats often shelter in residential homes, behind roofing and hanging siding, and in attics.
